At their meeting today (June 21, 2023) in Madison, the South Dakota Board of Regents welcomed new members and elected Board Officers. Tim Rave of Baltic remains the Board President, while Jeff Partridge of Rapid City was elected as the Vice President to fill the role vacated by former Regent Jim Thares.
The Board selected a newly appointed member, Doug Morrison, to serve as the secretary and sit on the Executive Committee.
This meeting marks the first in-person board meeting for Regents Judy Dittman of Madison, Randy Fredrick of Hayti, Jim Lochner of Dakota Dunes, Doug Morrison of Sioux Falls and Randy Rasmussen of Vermillion.
Other Regents Board members are Pam Roberts of Pierre and Brock Brown of Vermillion.
The BOR June meeting is being held today and tomorrow at the Dakota State University Campus.
