CASPER, WY – An early lead didn’t last for the Oahe Zap Wednesday in a 4-2 loss to the Casper Spuds in Independence League Baseball action at Mike Lansing Field.
Garrett Arnold gave the Zap (6-23) a 1-0 lead with a third inning RBI groundout. Tyler Traphagen made the Oahe lead 2-0 in the fourth with another RBI ground ball.
Casper then scored a run in the home sixth, then took the lead with two runs in the seventh on an error by Zap right fielder Joey Coolbaugh.
Nick Blessing took the tough-luck loss, allowing just three hits and three unearned runs in the seven innings.
