The Minnesota Twins return to Target Field tonight for their seventh homestand of the season, a six-game, seven-day stay packed with festivities, including fireworks, theme nights, gate giveaways and more. The homestand begins tonight (Monday, July 3) with the first of three games against division rival the Kansas City Royals through Wednesday night. After KC departs, the Twins will enjoy an off-day on Thursday followed by a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles from Friday-Sunday, the Birds’ lone scheduled trip to Target Field this season.
GIVEAWAYS, THEME NIGHTS, KIDS DAYS AND FIREWORKS
The homestand features four gate giveaways (T-Shirt Tuesday with Philipo Dyauli on Tuesday, July 4; Carlos Correa “C4” Bobblehead on Friday, July 7; LED Lightbulb on Saturday, July 8; and Kids “Sunday Funday” Sleeveless T-Shirt on Sunday, July 9), two Theme Nights (Wine, Women and Baseball on Wednesday, July 5; and Faith Day on Saturday, July 8); one Kids Day (Sunday, July 9); and one postgame fireworks show (tonight, Monday, July 3).
TRIBUTE TO MIKE RADCLIFF
Tonight, July 3, the Twins will pay tribute to longtime club executive Mike Radcliff, who passed away in early February after a courageous three-plus-year battle with cancer. The tribute will feature a pregame ceremony, remarks by former general manager Terry Ryan, a special jersey patch worn by Twins players and on-field staff, and a ceremonial first pitch thrown by Radcliff’s grandson, Reece Kuchenrither, among other activations detailed below. Additionally, most of the Twins’ amateur scouting staff will be in attendance, along with some current and former professional scouts.
