State prison offender out of Minnehaha County dies over the weekend

State prison offender Madit Borthok has died.

Borthok, age 41, passed away at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls July 7, 2023.

Borthok was serving sentences for second-degree rape and simple assault on law enforcement from Minnehaha County.
