Grab a spoon! Annie Rauwerda has become popular on TIkTok for making a medieval dish called “perpetual stew.” The dish is made by constantly replenishing the ingredients and letting the stew simmer for days and days.
Diners can taste all the complex flavors left behind from a host of ingredients.
Ingredients in Rauwerda’s perpetual stew have included garlic, carrots, potato, parsley, dill, and onions. Six days in, she hosted a gathering in Brooklyn where strangers could taste the medieval dish.
Friday marked the 30th day the stew has been cooking.
