Pierre city, school board candidates take oath of office; Stanley County School Board members to take their during meeting tonight

Re-elected representatives of the Pierre City Commission and Pierre School Board have been sworn in this month (July 2023).

Mayor Steve Harding took the oath of office to begin his third term on July 5, 2023. Commissioner Jamie Huizenga was again elected president of the group, meaning he will preside over meetings if Mayor Harding is absent.

At this week’s Pierre School Board meeting (July 10, 2023), Dan Cronin took the oath of office for his third term. The board then elected Randy Hartmann to be the president and Joan Adam was elected vice president.

At tonight’s Stanley County School Board meeting, Chris Fosheim will renew his oath and Jessica Paxton-Deal will take the oath for her first term.

All will serve a three year terms.
