At Wednesday’s regular meeting of the Mobridge City Council, the council approved an update of the city’s computer systems and servers with Highpoint Networks at a cost of $38,232.00, which will include the computers at City Hall, the Police Department, and the Library. Mobridge City Finance Officer Heather Beck says the current servers were installed in 2013.
For the water/wastewater department the council approved a pay request to Northern Plains Contracting for the screw pump project. The amount is $85,416.32.
Public hearings were held and approvals given for:
- Temporary special on-sale liquor licenses for an Arcade Bar street dance on August 9th;
- A brown bag permit for City of Mobridge Adult Fun Nights at the aquatic center on July 12th and August 9th;
- And a temporary malt beverage permit for the ice fishing tournament January 10th thru the 13th at the Scherr Howe Event Center.
A maintenance agreement for generators was approved in the amount of $12,432.01, which includes the water department, street department, wastewater city building, city of Mobridge, and the police department.
Three cemetery deed transfers were approved.
Council approved three tax property abatements. Mayor Gene Cox commented on working with the county.
