Corn harvested was 96%, near 100% last year, but ahead of 91% for the five-year average.
Sorghum harvested was 92%, behind 100% last year, and near 95% average.
Sunflowers harvested was 89%, behind 99% last year, but ahead of 84% average.
Winter wheat condition rated 4% very poor, 4% poor, 40% fair, 46% good, and 6% excellent.
This is the last weekly Crop Progress and Condition report for the 2023 growing season. USDA would like to extend our appreciation to the dedicated county FSA and extension staff who supplied the necessary information for these reports. For December through March, USDA will issue monthly reports. The first monthly report (for week ending December 31) will be issued January 2, 2024.
