SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota Miss and Mr. Basketball awards, given to the best girl’s and boy’s basketball seniors of the year were handed out on Sunday (May 12, 2024). 11 finalists were up in each award, and for Mr. Basketball the award goes to Harrisburg’s Jacoby Mehrman.
Mehrman was a two-time all-state selection and a first-team honoree this past season. Mehrman was also the Class AA boys basketball player of the year, as chosen by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association.
O’Gorman’s Mahli Abdouch is this year’s South Dakota Miss Basketball winner. Abdouch averaged 16.3 points, 3.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Class AA state champs. She was also the Class AA player of the year, as selected by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association. Courtesy 605sports
