MILLER — The Potter County girls and Mobridge-Pollock boys captured team titles at Saturday’s (May 11, 2024) Central South Dakota Conference track and field meet.
The Potter County girls recorded 151 points, finishing ahead of Wolsey-Wessington (131) and Mobridge-Pollock (110).
The Mobridge-Pollock boys posted 147 points, ahead of Miller (126) and Wolsey-Wessington (121.5).
Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (4:48.90) and 3,200-meter run (10:22.74).
Mobridge-Pollock’s Carter Hinsz won the shot put (45-5.5) and placed second in the discus (122-1), behind teammate Kellen Pfitzer (135-2).
Potter County’s Carter Luikens won the 200-meter dash (:23.54) and Sully Buttes’ Gavin Barber earned a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash (:53.50).
Potter County’s Emma Schlachter won the 800-meter run (2:24.78).
Potter County’s Paige Ahlemeier won the 3,200-meter run (13:01.43).
Potter County’s Dannika Kaup won the 300-meter hurdles (:47.92).
Megan Seurer won the 100-meter dash (:13.68) and also ran on the winning 400-meter relay (:53.54) for the Battlers while Potter County’s Kayden Cronin earned a first-place finish in the triple jump (32-11.5).
Mobridge-Pollock’s Ryli Thompson won the 200-meter dash (:26.90) and 400-meter dash (1:01.31).
Thompson was also on the winning 800-meter relay (1:48.97).
Mobridge-Pollock’s Heidi Olson also won the 1,600-meter run (5:20.71).
