A winning North Dakota Mega Millions ticket from the December 12, 2023, draw remains unclaimed, and the lucky ticket holder is almost out of time to claim the prize.
The $40,000 ticket expires on June 9, 2024. North Dakota Lottery winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, after which the prize is returned to the state. No one has yet contacted the North Dakota Lottery oice to claim the prize.
The lucky ticket was sold at Pinnacle Express of Stanley, 301 12th Ave SE, in Stanley. The ticket won by matching four white balls and the Mega Ball. The winning numbers for the December 12, 2023, draw were 8, 23, 44, 45, 53, and the Mega Ball was 3. The Megaplier multiplier was 4. The prize was $10,000, but as the player had also purchased the Megaplier option, the prize quadrupled to $40,000.
“This is a large prize to still be unclaimed” said Lance Gaebe, director of the North Dakota Lottery. “We are doing everything we can to alert the public and locate the winner. We encourage players to promptly check their tickets and claim their prize if they have this, or any, winning ticket.”
DECEMBER 18, 2023:
A North Dakota Powerball player hit it big just in time for the holidays! A $150,000 Powerball with Power Play ticket for Saturday night’s draw won big by matching four white balls and the Powerball. The winning numbers were 3, 9, 10, 20, 62 and the Powerball was 25. The Power Play multiplier was 3.
The lucky ticket was sold via the North Dakota Lottery’s Pick & Click online play service. The prize was $50,000, but as the player had also purchased the Power Play option, the ticket is worth $150,000. The lucky winner from Bismarck, who chose to remain anonymous, still cannot believe she won such a big prize. The winner plans to use the winnings to pay off some bills, save some for future use, and just let it all sink in.
“The holiday season has been really lucky for North Dakota Lottery players,” said Lance Gaebe, director of the North Dakota Lottery. “Since Thanksgiving, we’ve had eight $22,000 2by2 jackpot winners, one $40,000 Mega Millions with Megaplier winner, one $44,000 2by2 Tuesday Doubler winner, and this $150,000 Powerball with Power Play winner.”
