MAY 17, 2024:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls Lincoln, West Central and Castlewood sit atop the rankings in the South Dakota High School Softball poll conducted by the South Dakota High School Softball Coaches Association.
Lincoln continues to top the Class AA poll this week followed by Harrisburg. Sioux Falls Jefferson is third followed by Sioux Falls Washington and Rapid City Stevens. Brandon Valley got votes.
In the Class A poll, behind West Central is Dell Rapids followed by Tea Area, Madison and Dakota Valley to round out the top 5.
Castlewood regained sole possession of the top spot in the Class B poll. Bon Homme, who was tied with Castlewood last week for #1 is sitting #2 this week. Alcester-Hudson and Hanson are rated third and fourth with Scotland-Menno and Gayville-Volin tied for the 5th spot in the poll. Chester got votes.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Harrisburg continues to top the Class A poll and Dell Rapids sits atop the B rankings in this week’s South Dakota High School Baseball rankings conducted by the South Dakota High School Baseball Coaches Association. Brandon Valley is second in the Class A poll followed by Sioux Falls Lincoln. Rapid City Stevens and Sioux Falls O’Gorman round out the top 5 with Huron getting a vote, but not cracking the top 5.
In the Class B poll, Dell Rapids continues to sit in the number 1 spot while Howard has moved into the number 2 position. Dakota Valley, Bon Homme and Madison round out the top 5. Chamberlain got votes as did Lennox, Parkston and Vermillion but it wasn’t enough to crack the top 5.

UNDATED – The Pierre High School Spring Baseball team is 6th in the league standings heading into action this week. Brandon Valley sits atop the Class A division followed by Harrisburg. Rapid City Stevens, Sioux Falls Lincoln and Sioux Falls O’Gorman sit ahead of Pierre in the 3rd, 4th and 5th spots.
In the Class B standings, Bon Homme/Avon, Howard, Dell Rapids and Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman hold the lead in the four Regions.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Pierre High School Spring baseball team got one vote but it was not enough to crack the top 5 rankings in the South Dakota High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings released on Wednesday (May 1, 2024). Harrisburg continues to hold down the top spot in the Class A poll with 20 points, 5 more than runner up Brandon Valley. Sioux Falls Lincoln is third in the rankings followed by O’Gorman and Rapid City Stevens which is tied for 4th.

In the Class B rankings, Dell Rapids is the top rated team with 35 points followed by number 2 Dakota Valley with 22 points. Vermillion is rated third followed by Parkston with Howard and Lennox tied for 5th place. Also receiving votes in the Class B poll were Bon Homme, Madison and Chamberlain.
