SIOUX FALLS, S.D – Several members of the Pierre Governor boys and girls track and field teams were named Academic All State by the South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Association. To qualify for the honor, recipients must be a senior, have a 3.5 GPA or higher, compete in that sport for at least three years and be nominated by their head coach. The Governors who were named academic all state are: Chance Carda, Lucas Colman, Jared Lutmer, Jenna Bucholz, Jazzlyn Rombough, Brianna Sargent and Reese Terwilliger. Terwilliger won the Class AA State Shot Put competition and Lutmer medaled in the Long Jump.
