A semi is the latest victim of Pierreās low-clearance train bridge near the Pierre Street and Sioux Avenue intersection. The accident occurred around 12:00 PM today (June 28, 2024) and shut down the intersection for two-plus hours. The attached trailer exceeded the 11-foot, 3-inch height limit for the bridge and ultimately struck the bridge causing damage to the roof of the trailer. There was no apparent damage to the train bridge.
