PIERRE, SOUTH DAKOTA, August 29, 2024. – The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce Executives (CCE) organization will hold their annual fall conference 10 AM to 3 PM (CDT), Tuesday, September 17th at the AmericInn, Chamberlain, South Dakota.
CCE Board President Laurie Shelton, Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau, stated, “The focus of this organization is to promote the education and professional development of local chamber of commerce professionals and to serve as a forum for discussion and collaboration on issues impacting communities throughout the state.”
The fall conference agenda includes presentations on sources, benefits and threats of artificial intelligence with Professor Mark Spanier, Dakota State University; an issues discussion addressing ballot measures, a review of post-primary legislative candidates and potential for a local penny sales tax for cities with David Owen, President, SD Chamber of Commerce & Industry; and a community development panel addressing tools, incentives and policies featuring GOED Commissioner Joe Fiala; Secretary of Revenue Michael Houdyshell and Greater Huron Development President Ted Haeder.
