It can be surprising when you come across someone who’s strangely good at something unexpected. And it can also be SUS.
People online are talking about “everyday skills” that become suspicious . . . if you’re “TOO good” at them. Here are some of the best ones:
1. One man says he and his wife went to a shooting range and fired a variety of guns for the first time, and his wife’s accuracy with a Glock was expert level. The trainer whispered to the guy, “check her background.”
2. One man was so good at making fake money for movies that he got a visit from the FBI. They even told him he had to make it look MORE fake.
3. Walking silently.
4. Being able to B.S. your way out of situations.
5. Digging deep holes.
6. Remembering random details people mention in passing. It can be a good thing that shows you listen and you are invested in the people you meet. Until you are TOO GOOD at it . . . then it can be weird.
7. Knowing how to use a lockpick set or get into a house or car quickly, when someone has locked themselves out.
8. One man says he went back home from college, and whupped his dad’s butt at darts three times in a row. His dad said, “You’ve been in the bar too much.”
9. Knowing all the ways a drug test can provide a false positive.
10. Lying.
11. Shuffling cards. (A teacher suggested this, after witnessing a student’s shuffling prowess.)
12. Cleaning bloodstains.
13. Remembering license plates.
