Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre is closed this week (Sept. 9-13, 2024) for a remodeling project.
Abby Edwardson, Library Director, says the move makes sense for both accessibility and safety reasons.
During the temporary closure, Edwardson says library staff will continue to offer many services.
Edwardson says Rawlins Library patrons can also call the library to reserve books and stop by to pick up interlibrary loans. Additionally, all online services will continue during the closure. That includes ebook and audiobook availability through the Libby and Hoopla applications.
Rawlins Library maintains a collection of more than 125,000 books, eBooks, digital magazines and other items for research and entertainment -including free online continuing education programs.
