O’Bryan, Bowman reign over 2024 homecoming activities this week in Pierre

SEPTEMBER 22, 2024:

September 23-27, 2024, is Homecoming Week for the Pierre School District. Various “Rock & Roll” themed dress up days, games and activities are being held throughout the week.

The Pierre T.F. Riggs High School 2024 Homecoming King candidates are, front row, left to right:

Monday:

• Dress up day: “Battle of the Bands” themed colors
  Staff- “White” Snake
  Seniors- “BLACK” Eyed Peas
  Juniors, “RED” Hot Chili Peppers
  Sophomores- “GREEN” Day
  Freshmen – “P!NK”
• Coronation at 7 @ TF Riggs Theater
• Following Coronation…Burning of the PHS letters – lower parking lot at Riggs
• Join in on the fun after the burning of the letters for BINGO in the TF Riggs cafeteria – prizes and popcorn!  Grades 9-12 invited!

Tuesday:

• Dress up day: “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore (Craziest thrift combo)

Wednesday:

• Dress up day: “Famous” by Kanye West (Dress as your favorite singer, school appropriate)

Thursday:

• Dress up day: “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus (Dress in your Patriotic wear)
• Parade starts at 6:30 (entry forms on the PSD website)

Friday:

• Dress up day:  “My House” by Flo Rida (Green & White day)
• Spirit Breakfast –7:00-8:00 am CINNAMON ROLLS WITH GREEN FROSTING $3
• SENIOR CLASS PICTURE at 8am – front steps of the school, do not be late or you will miss the picture!
• Olympics at 12:30 (located in the main gym at Riggs)
• Powder Puff approximately 2:15 (football practice field behind Riggs…across the street from the YMCA)
• Football game at 7
• After the football game, approx. 9:30-midnight GRADES 9-12 welcome. Cornhole tournament in the aux gym. $10 entry fee. Cash prizes for top 3 places: $100 1^st place, $75 2^nd place, $50 3^rd place. Must use the bean bags provided. Free pizza and concessions will be available.
