The Western North Dakota Honor Flight announces their upcoming flight out of Bismarck, North Dakota, with 107 American military Veterans participating in this trip of a lifetime. Veterans on board this flight served in the era of the Korean War or the Vietnam War. The flight will take Veterans from across Western North Dakota, to Washington, D.C., to see the national memorials built in their honor.
Honor Flight board members, volunteers, and medical staff will travel with the Veterans to Arlington National Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, Korea War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, WWII Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, Marine Corps War Memorial, Navy Memorial, Udvar-Hazy Center, and the U.S. Capitol.
The Honor Flight will depart Bismarck on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at 6:30 a.m. CDT and return on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m. CDT.
The public is welcome to join them at Bismarck Airport on Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m. to welcome the Veterans home.
This experience is provided at no cost to the Veteran. All the funds raised for this flight have been generously donated by businesses, service organizations, fund raising events and personal donations from individuals across Western North Dakota.
Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to celebrate America’s Veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation’s memorials. Combined, the 129 Honor Flight hubs have taken more than 295,000 military Veterans to see the national war memorials.
