A movie directed by a man who grew up in Pierre opens in theaters across the United States on Friday (Nov. 1, 2024).
Andrew Kightlinger says he was partially drawn to “Lost on a Mountain in Maine,” because of the values portrayed in the storyline.
The movie was produced by actor Sylvester Stallone and Kightlinger, who now lives in Los Angeles, says the famous actor made him work for the director’s job.
Kightlinger said he had to get creative with filming some of the scenes.
Kightlinger says the mountain, itself, is one of the characters in the movie.
The movie is based on a true story and Kightlinger hopes people of all ages enjoy the family friendly adventure movie.
