The top 10 states that love true crime the most are: Massachusetts . . . New York . . . Nevada . . . Colorado . . . Illinois . . . Connecticut . . . Washington . . . North Carolina . . . New Hampshire . . . and Texas.
The least obsessed states are Georgia . . . Mississippi . . . Alaska . . . Hawaii . . . and Arkansas.
Southern states tend to be less into it in general. And people in big cities seem to be way more into it than people in rural spots.

1. Celebrity true crime: Shows about people like O.J. Simpson and Phil Spector. Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona are the most obsessed.
2. Serial killers: The top three are Utah, Nevada, and Illinois. The most searched serial killers include Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and Jack the Ripper.
3. Unsolved mysteries and disappearances: North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
Last stat: They found the average true crime fan consumes just over 3 hours and 45 minutes of true crime per week.
