Yesterday was National Pickle Day, and a LOT of pickle fans were celebrating. According to one report, more than 67% of all households eat pickles. And on average, they purchase pickles every 53 days.
But here’s a question for you: When you’re out of pickles . . . or maybe even BEFORE you are . . . do you ever drink the pickle juice, straight from the jar?
Believe it or not, an online poll asked this question . . . and 26% of people admitted they HAVE done that. The other 74% said NO.
One person said, “Who drinks from the jar? Ew . . . pour it into a cup you animals.”
Another didn’t have a problem with the jar part. Quote, “I’ve drank olive juice straight from the jar, but not pickle juice.”
Someone who DOES drink the juice says, “It’s a good source of electrolytes after a hard workout, and tasty.” But others say they don’t . . . for the same reason they wouldn’t drink straight vinegar: Because it’s too strong on its own.
