America’s golden girl Betty White is being honored next year with her own stamp. She’s among the first 2025 designs that the U.S. Postal Service announced Friday.
Betty was chosen as an icon of American television who, quote, “shared her wit and warmth with viewers for seven decades.”
The USPS added, quote, “The comedic actor, who gained younger generations of fans as she entered her 90s, was also revered as a compassionate advocate for animals.”
It’s been almost three years since Betty passed away on December 31st, 2021 . . . just 18 days shy of her 100th birthday.
In case you’re interested, other 2025 designs include dahlias, the Appalachian Trail, musician Allen Toussaint, a Keith Haring love design, a 1794 compass rose, and a snake for Lunar New Year. (You can see photos here.)
