This seems like a dangerous place to be able to get married on a whim . . .
The first wedding chapel located inside a LIQUOR STORE just opened in New Orleans. The store is called Chuck’s, and the venue itself is Chuck’s Chapel.
They put in a small stage with a couple church pews and a stained-glass window. It’s right next to the refrigerated section where they sell 40s. When you walk down the aisle, you literally walk down an aisle of the store.
Their first couple got married last weekend, and the officiant was an Elvis impersonator . . . so yes, it’s classy. The groom said he and his new wife decided to go for it because they both “love to drink.” (Here’s a photo.)
Wedding packages start at $500, and they have a tasting room big enough to host a small reception for 20 people. We’re guessing you get a decent price on booze for that.
