Winter wheat condition rated 2% very poor, 3% poor, 39% fair, 53% good, and 3% excellent.

JANUARY 30, 2024:
For the week ending January 28, 2024, topsoil moisture supplies in South Dakota rated 6% very short, 19% short, 73% adequate, and 2% surplus, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 7% very short, 28% short, 63% adequate, and 2% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 4% poor, 42% fair, 51% good, and 2% excellent.
