Fort Pierre’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Wagon Roundup is Friday night (Nov. 29, 2024).
Dave Bonde with the Fort Pierre Development Corporation says there are activities for people of all ages.
Bonde says people will be able to eat while they are waiting for a wagon ride or vice versa. A free will donation is taken at the cook-off to assist Fort Pierre residents who are struggling to pay their heating bills.
This year’s tree was donated by Jim and Kathy Pietz of Pierre. After that’s lit, Santa will make an appearance.
DRG Media Group’s Dakota Cruiser will be playing music during the wagon rides.
