This guy might need a lawyer, because the first thing they’ll say is don’t confess on national television . . .
A 35-year-old man named Michael Murray bought a used Subaru Outback for $4,000 at a dealership in Sandy, Utah on Monday. Then he came back a few hours later and accused them of selling him a lemon.
He claims they refused to give him his money back. So he decided the best course of action was to hop in the car . . . and drive it straight through their front entrance. (WARNING: The raw footage has an F-bomb and other profanity.)
He’d already threatened to do it, so they at least had some warning. Seven salespeople were near the door, but no one was hurt. He caused $10,000 in damage to the building. It’s not clear how banged-up the car is.
He talked to “Inside Edition” after bailing out of jail and said he knows he “probably” shouldn’t have done it, but he just “hit a breaking point.”
The dealership claims he knew the car had issues, and that they DID actually offer him a refund. So it’s not clear why he resorted to smashing the place up.
He’s facing charges for felony criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
