Kenneth Hartman, Jr., president of the National Corn Growers Association, says, “We are disappointed that Congress appears to be at an impasse over crucial economic assistance that farmers desperately need.”
National Sorghum Producers Chair Amy France says while the assistance will not make producers whole, “It would be an essential step in helping farm families navigate difficult economic times.”
National Association of Conservation Districts President Kim LaFleur says, “America’s producers urgently require help, and integrating IRA conservation investments has strong bipartisan support and would help.”
National Farmers Union President Rob Larew says Congress’s “time is short, and they must not walk away from their responsibility to rural America.”
