The Pierre/Fort Pierre Area Community Foundation and Youth Philanthropy Fund recently distributed more than $11,000 ($11,350) in grants to 13 community organizations.
Foundation President Kate Olson says their goal is to create a sustainable funding source for all local charitable causes. The two endowed funds have granted nearly $658,000 to nonprofits in the local area.
