There are three reasons NOT to put your holiday shopping off until the last minute: 1. You may not be able to find what you want . . . 2. It will be sheer chaos at the stores and parking lots . . . and 3. You could die.
A report by Nationwide says that the most dangerous day of the month to be out on the roads is December 23rd . . . this coming Monday.
That’s not because of a terrible winter storm . . . although that could make things worse . . . it’s because there are a TON of busy, distracted drivers.
They’re taking this opportunity to remind people that you REALLY need to put your phones down and focus on the road to keep you and everyone around you safe. Especially when a lot of people are tempted to multitask.
They say there are five or more distractions in a 20-mile commute, with each distraction averaging 15 seconds. If you’re averaging 45 miles per hour, that’s the equivalent of driving blind for the length of more than three football fields.
