Pierre School District test scores show both high academic achievement and areas where improvements can be made

Students in the Pierre School District perform well academically when compared to other schools in South Dakota.

Director of Education Troy Wiebe says students at Pierre’s three elementary schools, middle school and high school all received fairly high scores.

Wiebe says each of Pierre’s five schools has a leadership team that reviews the test results.

Along with the successes, Wiebe says, there are also challenges….and he provides some examples at the elementary school level.

He says Georgia Morse Middle School and T.F. Riggs High School have some of the same challenges.
