UNDATED (AP)- The brother of a man who was shoved onto subway tracks ahead of an incoming train in New York City on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31, 2024) says he’s expected to make a full recovery. Joseph Lynskey was standing on the platform at a Chelsea station in Manhattan when another man pushed him onto the tracks. Police called it a random attack. Christopher Lynskey, told The Daily News that his brother’s injuries include a skull fracture and broken ribs, but he is awake and talking at Bellevue Hospital. The suspect, Kamel Hawkins, of Brooklyn, made his initial court appearance Wednesday. He’s being detained without bail on attempted murder and assault charges.
