Govs Girls win their first Governor’s Cup over Bismarck

The Pierre Girls have not been able to lift the Governor’s Cup in their side of the rivalry with the Bismarck Demons, that is until tonight after the Govs went up north and beat Bismarck soundly by a score of 70-41. The Govs defense travelled as usual with Gracelyn Taylor recording 8 steals and a handful of assists as well. Grace Richter also provided some lockdown defense rotating with Addison Soma. On the offensive side of the floor, Lennix DuPris and Emery Larson fed off each other to find success all night both inside and outside the arc. DuPris finished with 19 points and Larson with 22, 15 of which came from beyond the three-point line. The Govs improved to 3-2 on the year with the win, and will now get ready to take on an undefeated Sioux Falls Washington team on 1/11.
