The rest area on Interstate 90 at Chamberlain will be closed for a $323,700 remodeling project, starting Monday (Jan. 13, 2025).
During the rest area closure, the South Dakota Department of Transportation says access to the Dignity statue will remain open and truck parking will still be available. All work is anticipated to be completed by April 23, 2025.
This rest area provides service for both I-90 westbound and eastbound traffic. Travelers are encouraged to plan for alternate restroom options during this closure.
