The Chamberlain Rest Area along Interstate 90 in South Dakota is back open (April 23, 2025) after some updates were made to the men’s and women’s restrooms.
This rest area provides service for both westbound and eastbound traffic on I-90. It also includes “Dignity,” a 50-foot tall, stainless steel statue (designed by sculptor Dale Lamphere) to honor the cultures of the Lakota and Dakota people.
The $323,700 project began in mid-January.
