Eight FFA chapter advisors in South Dakota– including the ones from Gettysburg and Philip– have been selected as finalists to receive the Golden Owl Award for the 2024-25 school year.
SD FFA Foundation Board President Sandy Osterday said each finalist was presented with an individualized plaque and received a $500 check to support future educational efforts. She said those eight advisors are now entered into a final selection stage for the chance to be crowned as South Dakota’s Ag Educator of the Year. That winner will receive the Golden Owl Award trophy and an additional $3,000 from the Nationwide insurance company.
