A shortage of drivers has forced River Cities Public Transit in Pierre to eliminate their overnight service, for now.
Information from the company says their ability to perform essential transportation services for all passenger categories is affected. To maximize River Cities Public Transits’ impact, the Board of Directors and operational leadership made the decision to change their hours of operation, effective today (March 7, 2025).
The new hours of operation are from 5am to 10:30pm CT. River Cities Public Transit intends to resume their overnight service if-and-when staff becomes available.
