The 2025 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s National Walleye Tour presented by Progressive is kicking off the season in Pierre, SD on Lake Sharpe. This event will feature the best tournament walleye anglers in the nation while also providing a fun, family event where the whole family can enjoy. Anglers competing in this event will be competing for over $100,000 in cash and prizes.
Top walleye anglers like John Hoyer, Duane Hjelm, Dylan Nussbaum, plus the 2024 Progressive Angler of the Year Hunter Nitti will all be in the field to try and take the Lake Sharpe victory.
Fans are welcome to come and watch take-off which will take place Thursday and Friday starting at 7:00 am out of Steamboat Park. Daily weigh-ins will also take place at Steamboat Park starting at 3:15 pm. Both launch and weigh-in is free to the public and everyone is encouraged to join the NWT for all of the exciting activities taking place.
Additionally, after the final weigh-in on Friday, April 25th, there will be a Kid’s Fishing Clinic where NWT anglers fishing the event will be on-site talking about walleye fishing on Lake Sharpe and giving out a FREE fishing combo to the first 100 kids in attendance.
