Core Runners will depart Sioux Falls on Tuesday, May 27th, and travel to various cities to meet up with local athletes and Law Enforcement for a run/walk.
The Torch Run will conclude on Thursday, May 29th, when we deliver the Flame of Hope to the Special Olympics South Dakota State Summer Games Opening Ceremony in Vermillion.

Sioux Falls Jefferson High School officially unveiled their National Banner Recognition for their accomplishments in being a Unified Champion School. Jefferson is the 7th National Banner School in South Dakota history. The award was announced to the entire school at their Inclusion Assembly during their week of Inclusion. The assembly included speeches from Jefferson Alumni, Griffin Wilde, Mayor of Sioux falls, Mayor Paul Tenhaken, and SOSD CEO/President, Darryl Nordquist, a performance by the Unified Show Choir, and topped off with a Unified Basketball showdown. Congratulation Jefferson!
