Opening Day across the MLB has officially arrived, and the Twins begin their run at the AL Central after a disappointing end to the 2024 season. Minnesota will kick off the 2025 season on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals today at 3:15 PM CT, and you can listen live on KGFX AM 1060 and in the Pierre area on 103.1 FM. Today’s probable starters are Pablo Lopez for Minnesota and Sonny Gray for the Cardinals.
St. Louis went 83-79 overall and 44-37 in home games a season ago. The Cardinals averaged 8.4 hits per game last season and totaled 165 home runs. Minnesota went 82-80 overall and 39-42 on the road a season ago. The Twins scored 4.6 runs per game while giving up 4.5 last season.
The Twins open the season up with two road-trips, this three game stint in St. Louis then three in Chicago against the White Sox before coming home to host the Houston Astros on April 3rd.
