Minnesota came off of an extended break to take on an up and down Suns team Friday night, and had to do so without Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards for a portion of the game.
In a pass up the floor, Kevin Durant and Edwards collided and Edwards took an elbow directly to the bridge of the nose. Edwards took a hard fall to the court and was helped off with a towel on his face and what was reported as a “nasal contusion”.
Edwards was able to return later in the contest and help the T-Wolves to a 124-109 victory. Minnesota’s Julius Randle led both teams in scoring with 25-points on 9/15 shooting. Durant finished with 23 for the Suns.
Timberwolves will have the night off before taking on the Detroit Pistons tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
