There’s a lot of baseball left to be played. That’s what we need to keep telling ourselves, Twins fans. The Twins now sit 0-4 to start the season after a 9-0 rout at the hands of the Chicago White Sox yesterday afternoon. To make it worse, the Twins did not register a hit until Willi Castro poked a single into right field. It would be one of only two hits for the Twins. This is now only the fifth time since the introduction of the Twins in 1961 that the club has started 0-4. Carlos Correa saying, “It’s not about losing the games, it’s about the way we’re playing collectively right now. We’ve got to get better. We’ve got to make adjustments quick because the last thing you want is to go two weeks and this keeps dragging.”
The Twins now sit dead last in baseball when it comes to runs scored after only mustering 6 total runs in their first four games. The other side of the coin hasn’t been anything to smile about either, as the Twins have given up 28 runs through those four, including two games in which they gave up 9.
The Twins will look for their first win of the season tonight against the White Sox before wrapping up the series tomorrow and heading home to take on the Astros. First pitch tonight is set for 6:40 PM CT and you can listen live on KGFX 1060 AM or 103.1 FM in the Pierre area.
