For the first time this season, the Twins are winners! After a tough start to year, the Twins sat 0-4 going into their second game of the three-game set with the Chicago White Sox. Things were looking grim for the Twins as they fell behind early 3-0. But a rally in the sixth-inning saw Minnesota score five runs before going onto win 8-3 and move to 1-4. Jeffers and France both had RBI-singles to start the rally in the sixth, and then Harrison Bader added the insurance with a three-run homer in the ninth.
Before last night’s contest, the Twins sat in the cellar of the runs scored department averaging 1.75 runs per game. The sixth inning explosion, and subsequent three following runs jolted them up to 25th in the league as they now sit at 2.8 runs per game. Hopefully for the Twins, this will get them back on the right direction after struggling to start the year. They will look to win the series this afternoon as they wrap up with the White Sox at 1:10.
