One block of Poplar Avenue in Pierre will be closed today (April 30, 2025) for underground utility work.
The affected area is between Dakota Avenue and Missouri Avenue. Barring any complications, the street is anticipated to reopen by Thursday. All traffic should detour around the area until the street is reopened.
The City of Pierre maintains more than 100 miles of water main.
