The MLB season is only a few weeks in, and after a rocky start it seems the Twins are starting to play better baseball. The offense is starting to round into form after winning six of seven before dropping the last two to Cleveland. As it sits now, the Twins are currently in fourth in the AL Central, six games back of the Detroit Tigers who have had an impressive start to the 2025 campaign.
Minnesota has been limited to only three runs in their last two games after putting up an 11-spot in game one of this series. They can’t win the series, but a split would be a good consolation prize if they can get it done in an early afternoon start today. On the bump for the Twins is Simeon Woods Richardson who is 2-2 with a 4.07 ERA this season. For the Guardians, it’s Ben Lively who has posted similar numbers this year going 1-2 with a 4.40 ERA.
There’s nothing better than some afternoon baseball on a weekday, so make sure to tune in on your lunch hour for first pitch at 12:10 on KGFX 1060 AM or on 103.1 FM in the Pierre area.
