Marshall grew up on the Home Place and fell in love with the farm and his hometown throughout his childhood. After graduating from the Mississippi School of Math and Science, Marshall left the south to attend Dartmouth College for undergrad. After college he spent time in Montana, completed an AmeriCorps term in New Orleans rebuilding houses destroyed in Katrina, and eventually ran operations for a small business specializing in sourcing local meat for New Orleans chefs.
That experience fueled his passions in life. Producing high integrity food for America isn’t for the faint of heart but it can be immensely rewarding. Sean hopes his rigorous, long-tenured attendance to the School of Hard Knocks will save you some tuition.

31 of Sean’s 38 years of life have been spent in and around raising, harvesting, and selling bison meat. Growing up in northwestern Wisconsin wasn’t traditional bison country but it turned into an unexpected blessing.
