Pierre & Lyman have solid performances at Capital City Qualifier

One of the hottest spring days we had made the Capital City Qualifier out at Hollister Field a little more challenging yesterday, but it seemed to help the runners stay loose and post some fast times. Lyman girls had a good showing, Brooke Montgomery placing first in the 100-meter dash and Jordyn Scott placing first in the 400-meter dash with Stanley County’s Kaysen Magee placing second.

From Pierre, in the 4 x 100 m relay à Karson Walti, Eladio Simental, Carter Schiefelbein, and Carson Stoeser placed first with a time of 42.82 and in the 4 x 200 m relay à Carter Schiefelbein, Eladio Simental, Will Danburg, and Carson Stoeser also placed first with a time of 1:28.11, both of which were new school records. Brooke Hansen also took first for Pierre in the 100-meter hurdles followed by Dannika Kaup who finished second from Potter County. Brenna Tedrow for Pierre took first in the 300-meter hurdles.
