About 80% of us watch TV on the DAILY. But what TYPE of TV? Well, according to Google Trends, the most popular genre is sitcoms.
Sitcoms ranked #1 in 10 states. Reality TV is the second-most popular in nine states, followed by ESPN (sports) in eight.
Cartoons are popular in six states, the news in four, and soap operas in three. Cooking shows, telenovela, and late-night talk shows are all popular in two states each.
And lastly, daytime TV, documentary series, game shows, and children’s shows are only popular in one state each.
The top three states that watch the most TV are West Virginia, Delaware, and then Louisiana.
