Today kicks off the Pierre Torch Run for Special Olympics and local law enforcement. Tonight’s event will be the Special Olympics athlete walk with the Pierre Wildcats which will feature both groups walking the flame of hope throughout Pierre. Tonight’s walk begins at 5:30 PM at Hilgers Gulch.
Tomorrow is the Academy Run which begins at 6:30 AM at the Law Enforcement Training Center and finishes at the Capitol building. To learn more about this event, you can do so by clicking this link here.
The Torch Run is an outstanding highlight of South Dakota Special Olympics and the hard work they have put in throughout their athletic season.
