The Minnesota Twins had a good weekend, they take two of three from the Kansas City Royals and win that series. Friday they won 3-1, Saturday was also a win, 5-4. They ended up dropping game three of the series on Sunday 2-1, but a series win is a series win! Last night they started off their series against the Rays with a 7-2 loss, in a game that was neck-and-neck thru the first 5.5 innings. In the bottom of the sixth, Tampa opened things up when Aranda hit a three-run homer. The Rays would add four more in the eighth making it too big of a deficit to overcome for Minnesota.
The Twins will look to get things back on the right track tonight in game two against Tampa Bay, first pitch set for 6:05 CT. You can listen to this game and all Twins games all season long on KGFX 1060 AM or 103.1 FM in the Pierre area. Twins now sit at 29-24 on the season and are tied with the Cleveland Guardians for second place in the AL Central, both teams sit 5 games back of the Detroit Tigers
